The Cricketers Arms St. Helens has won yet more recognition for their commitment to quality by becoming one of the top four finalists for national cider pub of the year. A member of the National Executive will present a certificate of achievement to the pub on 17th November 2018.
What are we as CAMRA members looking for in a pub? Preference to our favourite tipples is not everything!
We are looking for good Beer with an excellent, range of choice, consistent to our needs. Guest ales, new beers to try. A good range of cider and perry. All well kept as we like it to be.
What is on offer for the CAMRA member? Discounts with our cards, or their equivalent to something similar is always a bonus but never essential. A CAMRA Corner with updated news helps to keep the campaign a live. Activities which promote the appreciation of real ale, cider and perry such as festivals within the pub, tasting notes, meet the brewer (or cider maker) all add to the recognition process.
Good Food enhances the whole offer, we expect the facilities are always kept clean to a high standard. Tasting bats (3x 1/3 pints), can be good fun for the table.
Look At The Cricketers Arms in St Helens for the above – I will guarantee you will go back for another visit.
